We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out for this year’s Fall Work Days!
In total, 121 volunteers (!!!) generously contributed a combined 289 hours of service to help complete projects at 20 U-City homes. This effort included groups from Wydown United Church, Bethel Lutheran Church, Trinity Presbyterian Church, Grace United Methodist Church, Christ the King Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Community Builders Network, Brown Kortkamp Realty, among others who showed up and made a difference. What an incredible weekend of community, teamwork, and heart.
We’d also like to offer a special shout-out to the students from WashU Student Life and the Catholic Student Center, who not only joined our Fall Work Days, but also gave their time the weekend prior to help clear brush from our Bartmer Avenue lot—future site of our second new affordable home for a low-to-moderate income family.
