This spring, SHED hosted two volunteer work weekends that brought neighbors and community partners together to help local homeowners with much-needed exterior maintenance. Together, more than 50 volunteers served eight homes over the course of three days, tackling projects that included yard cleanup, brush removal, gutter cleaning, mulch installation, and painting.
We are especially grateful to the 15-member volunteer team from First United Methodist of Jackson, Tennessee, who traveled more than four hours to spend the weekend in June serving University City homeowners. We also thank volunteers from Washington University in St. Louis, Grace United Methodist Church, Trinity Presbyterian Church, and Refresh Community Church, along with our board members and individual volunteers, for generously giving their time and talents. Their collective efforts made a lasting difference for local homeowners and the community.
